Activity Overview
The combination of increasing therapeutic options for patients with stage I-III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and screening efforts to detect early lung cancer creates a need for an informed multidisciplinary health care team for patients with stage I-III NSCLC. Given the established use of immunotherapy and targeted therapy in stage I-III NSCLC, timely molecular testing is essential to match the patient with the optimal treatment plan. Furthermore, efforts are ongoing to integrate new agents with local therapies, including radiation therapy.
This Tumor Board symposium brings together renowned experts in the management of early-stage and locally advanced NSCLC. The format replicates the dynamic, collaborative nature of multidisciplinary tumor boards, promoting the improvement of patient care.
This educational activity is an archive of the live virtual symposium held on September 26, 2026.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, thoracic oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other health care professionals involved in the management of stage I-III NSCLC.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Describe the rationale for combining immunotherapy and radiation therapy in managing early-stage and locally advanced NSCLC
- Evaluate contemporary clinical trial evidence supporting the integration of immunotherapy and targeted therapy with radiation-based treatment strategies across stages I-III NSCLC
- Integrate multidisciplinary assessment and molecular/biologic features into individualized treatment decisions
- Apply best practices for managing immune-related adverse events in combined modality therapy
