Overview:

Management of biliary tract cancers (BTC) is rapidly evolving as novel and emerging biomarkers and molecular testing strategies are informing treatment for a more individualized and targeted approach. This live webcast brings together renowned experts in the treatment of biliary tract cancers. In this educational symposium, these experts will provide an update on state-of-the-art treatment with immunotherapy and targeted therapeutic approaches in advanced cholangiocarcinoma, including case-based discussion of current and emerging clinical trial data on immune-based and targeted therapeutic strategies, best practices for adverse event management, and personalized treatment planning. This program will help clinicians who care for patients with cholangiocarcinoma gain additional knowledge and competence needed to deliver optimal patient care.

Learning objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better prepared to:

  • Identify patients with advanced/metastatic biliary tract cancer (BTC) who may be candidates for treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors
  • Assess efficacy and safety data from clinical trials evaluating current and investigational immune-based therapies for patients with advanced/metastatic BTCs
  • Develop proactive strategies for monitoring and managing potential immune-related adverse events in patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitor therapies for BTC
  • Incorporate immune-based therapies for appropriate patients with advanced/metastatic BTC by integrating biomarker testing, clinical trial evidence, expert guidelines, patient co-morbidities, and goals of treatment

Target Audience:

This educational activity is directed toward physicians and other allied healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of biliary tract cancers.
