Lung Cancer Tumor Board: Dialogues with the Surgeon on Integration of Systemic Therapies in Perioperative Settings for NSCLC: What Do Current Data for IO- and ALK-Targeted Strategies Tell Us?

Overview:

In recent years, the emergence of neoadjuvant/adjuvant strategies incorporating immune checkpoint inhibitors and adjuvant strategies incorporating targeted therapies, specifically EGFR and ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), has transformed the treatment landscape for patients with resectable non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). These rapid advances, along with recent practice-changing data, have made it even more imperative that surgeons, medical oncologists, and pathologists collaborate to plan ahead for optimal patient care when cure is an option.

This virtual, rebroadcast of Lung Cancer Tumor Board satellite symposium will showcase the various treatment considerations for patients with resectable early-stage NSCLC in the context of recent approvals, recommendations, and new clinical trial evidence. This panel discussion will be framed with patient cases highlighting the coordination of multidisciplinary approaches to treatment, with presentations of new data illustrating the efficacy and safety of these novel strategies.
