Overview:
Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) are reshaping the treatment of solid tumors, pairing target-directed antibodies with potent cytotoxic payloads to deliver therapy more selectively than conventional chemotherapy. As highly actionable targets, HER2, TROP2, and folate receptor alpha anchor a growing set of FDA-approved ADCs, while emerging agents directed at B7-H3 and CDH6 extend the class across breast, lung, gynecologic, and other cancers. These advances bring new options for patients, but also introduce distinct, agent-specific toxicities, including interstitial lung disease, ocular toxicity, stomatitis, and myelosuppression, that demand specialized nursing expertise.
This CME-certified Show Me Your Care Plan!™ symposium convenes a multidisciplinary panel of oncology experts to translate evolving ADC science into practical, nursing-centered strategies for real-world care. In this format, physician faculty set the treatment strategy and nurse faculty build the care plan. Through concise didactic updates and case-based discussions, faculty will deliver actionable insights on therapeutic targets and payloads, adverse event recognition and management, biomarker-informed decision-making, and patient counseling. This dynamic program equips oncology nurses to confidently and safely implement ADC therapies across diverse practice settings.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be better able to:
- Identify key therapeutic targets for approved and emerging ADCs across various solid tumors
- Evaluate recent clinical trial data on ADC therapies and its impact on patient outcomes and nursing responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based monitoring and management protocols to recognize, assess, and address adverse events specific to ADC treatments
- Apply patient counseling techniques to clearly explain ADC mechanisms, biomarker-based treatment decisions, side-effect management, and quality-of-life concerns

This educational activity is directed toward oncology
nurses and other healthcare providers who manage patients with solid tumors.
