Overview:
The management of hepatobiliary cancers (HBCs), including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and biliary tract cancers (BTC), is rapidly evolving as immunotherapy-based strategies expand across multiple disease settings. Despite significant advances, clinical challenges remain, including selecting among multiple first-line immunotherapy regimens for advanced HCC, integrating systemic immunotherapy with locoregional approaches such as TACE, and incorporating emerging chemoimmunotherapy and biomarker-driven strategies in BTC.
This hybrid satellite symposium,
presented adjunct to the 2026 AASLD The Liver Meeting, will use the interactive
Show Me the Data™ format to review emerging clinical evidence through patient
cases and clinical decision points. Expert faculty will discuss treatment
selection and multidisciplinary strategies across the HCC and BTC treatment
continuum.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Assess the clinical significance of emerging data on immunotherapy-based combination regimens for patients with embolization-eligible and advanced unresectable HCC
- Develop individualized first-line treatment strategies for patients with hepatocellular and biliary tract cancers by applying data from recent Phase 3 trials
- Develop a multidisciplinary framework for incorporating next-generation immunotherapy approaches into the hepatobiliary cancer treatment continuum
Target Audience:
This educational activity is directed toward hepatologists, medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists, as well as advanced practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers involved in the management of hepatobiliary cancers.
