11th Annual School of Gastrointestinal Oncology® (SOGO®)

Overview

PER’s 11th Annual School of Gastrointestinal Oncology^® (SOGO^®) is a 1-day multidisciplinary educational conference, featuring discussions of emerging therapies and evolving standards of care for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancer.

This symposium, now in its eleventh year, is focused on providing tools to personalize care for patients with GI cancer. The program will feature discussion of hot topics of debate across all GI malignancies, as well as discussions on multidisciplinary, real-world management of GI cancers. This program is designed to match your learning interests, with updates on the latest clinical trial data, current and emerging treatment strategies, and case-based lectures by expert faculty with a focus on the practical application of knowledge to the complex care scenarios encountered in contemporary practice settings. Physicians’ Education Resource^® (PER^®) is committed to deliver an interactive meeting that fosters discussion, exchange of ideas, best practices, and multidisciplinary collaboration in the clinic.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be better able to:

• Assess the clinical utility of novel molecular and genomic strategies for personalizing treatment decisions in patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers
• Evaluate the clinical impact of recent findings from landmark trials of emerging treatment strategies for the management of GI cancers
• Apply evolving evidence into individualized, multidisciplinary care strategies to improve outcomes for patients with GI cancers
• Implement best practices for preventing, recognizing, and managing TRAEs associated with novel therapies used for the management of GI cancers

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 5.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
