School of Breast Oncology® Live Video Webcast: Clinical Updates From San Antonio

December 19, 2023 | 6:00 - 8:00 PM ET

Overview:

Each year, major international meetings provide valuable information on practice-changing clinical information from randomized phase III trials as well as emerging novel agents. This is equally true for the hundreds of smaller trials and sub-studies that, while not garnering the national attention of many phase III trials, still provide valuable clinical information. However, many practicing oncologists are unable to attend these meetings, and may be challenged to understand and process new clinical trial information in a manner that allows for optimal application to their practices.

This virtual symposium brings together renowned experts in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer to provide a comprehensive overview of noteworthy data presented during the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, held in San Antonio, Texas, in December 2023. This webcast is an interactive program in which faculty discuss and debate the clinical implications and applications of emerging data and the future directions of breast cancer management. Topics include current and emerging treatment options for patients with early-stage and metastatic disease as well as locoregional control using surgery and radiation. This webcast, an extension of the annual School of Breast Oncology®, provides an additional forum for clinicians to keep pace with rapidly emerging data and advancing treatment paradigms in breast cancer.

Learning objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Assess recently presented efficacy and safety data from clinical trials evaluating novel treatment strategies for patients with early-stage and advanced/metastatic breast cancer
  • Discuss the implications of emerging evidence for clinical practice and placement in the context of evolving treatment paradigms for breast cancer
  • Explain investigational strategies and novel agents designed to address clinically unmet needs in the management of breast cancer

Target Audience:

This educational activity is directed toward medical surgical and radiation oncologists, nurses, and other HCPs who treat patients with breast cancer.
