Activity Overview

Vaccine hesitancy is a complex and multifaceted issue shaped by individual beliefs, cultural and societal norms, trust in health care systems, and broader social determinants of health. A significant driver of vaccine hesitancy is concern about adverse events, including both anticipated and previously experienced events, although many other barriers can hinder vaccine uptake. This program provides expert insights and interactions with a simulated patient to highlight opportunities for health care providers to address adult patients’ barriers to vaccine acceptance.

Target Audience

This educational activity is directed toward internists/primary care clinicians, family medicine physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and other health care providers involved in the administration of adult immunization.
