Activity Overview
In this Reel Time Patient Counseling™ program, expert faculty in the fields of primary care and neurology review the burden of acute pain, the issues related to the use of opioids for the treatment of acute pain, and emerging nonopioid therapies for the management of patients with acute pain. Additionally, this program includes video clips of a real patient experiencing acute pain that demonstrate the role of patient counseling in care.
Target Audience
This online educational activity is directed toward primary care clinicians, emergency medicine clinicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates, registered nurses, and other health care professionals involved in assessing and managing patients with acute pain.
