Overview:
More than 16 million adults are diagnosed with dry eye disease (DED), and an additional 6 million experience symptoms without a formal diagnosis – with the prevalence continuing to rise. In this program, learners will discover new opportunities for efficiently diagnosing specific factors driving different types of DED and devising treatment strategies that address patients’ individual needs.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the burden of OSD, specifically DED, as it relates to patient quality of life and ocular health outcomes
- Integrate advanced diagnostic methods into the assessment of DED
- Implement individualized treatment plans for optimal management of DED
