Activity Overview
In this online, on-demand activity, faculty experts focus on the role of pharmacologic therapies in managing presbyopia. Pharmacologic therapies offer noninvasive, reversible approaches for correcting near vision that enhance depth of focus, but putting them to use clinically calls for a thorough grasp of how they influence pupil size, along with their safety profiles and duration of effect.
This educational symposium pairs case presentations with expert discussion to build a more nuanced view of how these agents compare, keeping treatment decisions both evidence-driven and patient-centered. This educational activity is an archive of the live symposium held on October 2, 2026.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward optometrists and other eye care professionals involved in the care of patients experiencing presbyopia.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Describe the mechanisms of action, efficacy, durability, and safety of topical pharmacologic agents for presbyopia
- Integrate clinical evidence to identify appropriate patients for topical pharmacologic therapies for presbyopia
- Apply evidence-based counseling strategies to establish realistic expectations for topical presbyopia therapies
