Overview

In recent years, significant advancements in understanding the pathophysiology of genitourinary (GU) malignancies, including prostate cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and bladder cancer, have driven a rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape. The optimal clinical management of patients with GU malignancies requires the integration of the latest data on both current and emerging therapies to enhance patient outcomes.

Now in its 19th year, the annual New York GU® meeting is dedicated to addressing knowledge and competence gaps arising from the abundance of new data. It focuses on selecting treatments based on patient and tumor characteristics and applying these findings in clinical practice to improve the care of patients with GU malignancies. The program promotes learning through three distinct educational modalities: expert presentations, panel discussions, and interactive tumor board-style case presentations. This unique format has proven highly effective in educating the multidisciplinary physician base on the comprehensive treatment and management of GU cancers.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be better able to:

  • Interpret advanced diagnostic and molecular testing strategies—including ctDNA and genomic profiling—for risk stratification and disease monitoring in GU malignancies
  • Apply molecular and genomic test results to guide treatment selection and personalize care in patients with GU cancers
  • Integrate emerging therapies with multidisciplinary strategies to optimize treatment sequencing and coordination across specialties
  • Evaluate the toxicity profiles and management strategies for novel therapeutic agents used in GU malignancies, including targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and ADCs
