Overview

Breast cancer represents a complicated family of diseases, and the detection, diagnosis, and multimodal management strategies of these conditions are continually evolving. As more is learned about the biology of these diseases, and with each improvement to the standards of care, new questions, challenges, and controversies arise. Therefore, practice-focused education that helps you to integrate the highest-quality management strategies into your clinic care is essential. For 43 years, the multidisciplinary Miami Breast Cancer Conference® has met this educational need by bringing together surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists, as well as geneticists, pathologists, radiologists, and supportive care specialists to improve care for patients with breast cancer.

Target Audience

This educational program is directed toward medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists whose primary practice focus is breast cancer and who intend to reinforce their knowledge base and expand their expertise in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and management.

Physicians’ Education Resource^®, LLC is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Medical Oncologists (ABIM)

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Surgical Oncologists/Surgeons (ABS)

This activity provides Category I CME and self-assessment credits toward Part 2 of the ABS MOC Program. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Surgery (ABS) MOC program.

Attendees securing hotel reservations in the conference room block must be registered to attend the 44th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference^®. On or about February 1, 2027, PER^® and the Fontainebleau Reservations Department will audit all guest room reservations within the conference room block. If you are not registered at that time, PER® reserves the right to cancel the reservation booked.

Junior Suite: $569 and up  

A hotel fee of $42.00 per room per day, plus tax, will apply to all guest rooms. This fee includes guest room wired or wireless high-speed internet access, unlimited toll-free and local calls, beach chairs, use of the gym for registered guests, and a daily newspaper available at the front desk. Beach umbrellas are available for an additional fee. 

The deadline for making your discounted hotel reservations has been extended until Thursday, February 4, 2027, at 5:00 PM EST. After that date, or in the event that the room block becomes full prior to the deadline, rooms are subject to availability, and room rates may increase. The hotel often sells out before this date, so it is recommended that you book early. If you experience any challenges with hotel accommodations, please contact  [email protected].  

A deposit equal to the full stay is required to hold each guest’s reservation. Deposits are refundable only if notice is received at least 6 weeks prior to the day of arrival and a cancellation number is received. Reservations cancelled within 6 weeks of the arrival date are nonrefundable, no exceptions. All deposits shall be charged at the time the reservation is made.

For groups requesting blocks of 10 or more rooms, the following policy shall be implemented by the hotel:

• One hundred percent (100%) prepayment is required at the time of the reservation, with the following sliding scale to apply for cancellations:
• If canceled by December 31, 2026 — 50% refund on entire stay
• If canceled by January 1, 2027-January 30, 2027 — 10% refund on entire stay
• If canceled on or after January 31, 2027 — no refund
  

Check-in is 4 PM, and checkout is 11 AM.  

Location

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel is located on Collins Avenue, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is 3 miles from South Beach. It is conveniently located near both the Miami and Fort Lauderdale International airports. 

Travel

We recommend that you make your reservations early to get the best seat options and lowest airfare available. Miami International Airport (MIA) is the major gateway serving the Miami area and is approximately 12 miles from the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) is 28 miles from the Fontainebleau.

Advisory Board or Ancillary Meeting Definition

Any meeting whose invited participants are professional attendees of the Conference, such as doctors and physicians will be considered an Advisory Board (Ad Board) or Ancillary Meeting. This includes activities such as round-table discussions, investigator meetings, social gatherings and meet the specialist‐type meetings.

A fee is applicable for hosting these meetings, with the amount being dependent on the type and size of your meeting.

Blackout Times

There are many programs being scheduled throughout our conferences. With that, the black out hours across our meeting are as follows:

• One day prior to the conferences
• The duration of the conference
• One day post conference

A cancellation fee of 25% will be assessed on refunds requested 90 days before the start date, a 50% fee on refunds requested 60 days before the start date, and a 75% fee on refunds requested 30 days before the start date. No refunds will be made after 30 days before the start date. There is no charge for substitution. Substitutions can only be applied to the same conference and only two substitutions will be honored.

In the event of a meeting cancellation, full refunds will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation date.

PER^® reserves the exclusive rights to all recordings or reproductions of the conference and supporting materials. Unauthorized recording, by any means, is expressly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, recording of presentations or reproductions of supporting audio/visual materials, exhibits, and other supporting continuing education materials.
