Activity Overview
The treatment landscape for gliomas has evolved rapidly in recent years, following an enhanced understanding of the molecular underpinnings, which has driven the development of novel approaches aimed at personalizing care. The recent approvals of new targeted therapies for molecular subsets, including IDH1/2, BRAF, and H3 K27M mutations, represent important progress driven by advances in molecular diagnostics and targeted therapies. Additionally, novel immunotherapeutic approaches continue to be investigated in gliomas, specifically high-grade gliomas. However, the complex biology of gliomas and the rapid pace of therapeutic development are creating knowledge and competence gaps among clinicians managing these conditions. Thus, there is a need for educational programs that discuss recent advances as well as emerging approaches in glioma management to help clinicians develop strategies to integrate recently approved novel therapies in clinical practice to optimize outcomes for patients with these tumors.
This Medical Crossfire® program provides up-to-date clinical trial data and ongoing studies in gliomas. The Medical Crossfire® approach offers an ideal format for participants, allowing them to review patient scenarios, reflect on how they might handle particular cases, integrate relevant evidence into real-world practice, and obtain expert opinions on optimally integrating the latest therapies into treatment paradigms for patients with gliomas.
This educational activity is an archive of the live virtual symposium held on November 21, 2025.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward medical oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care providers involved in the treatment and management of gliomas.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Incorporate genetic and molecular information along with recent classification criteria to accurately diagnose, classify, and develop personalized care plans for patients with glioma
- Determine the implications of recent developments in targeted and immunotherapeutic strategies on individualizing treatment for patients with glioma
- Assess the impact of current and emerging targeted and immunotherapy strategies on personalizing care for pediatric patients with glioma.
