Activity Overview
This online, on-demand virtual symposium brings together renowned experts the treatment of psychiatric disorders. In this educational program, these experts discuss best practices for managing a multitude of psychiatric diagnoses, including major depressive disorder, substance use disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia, ADHD and many more. Emerging treatments and data from ongoing clinical trials that may impact clinical practice in the near future are also be addressed.
This educational activity is an archive of the live symposium held on January 17, 2025.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward advanced practice professionals (APPs) on the front
lines of care who treat psychiatric disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Other health care professionals interested in the treatment of psychiatric disorders are also invited to participate to further enhance knowledge of current psychiatric treatment options.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Describe the mechanism of action and pharmacologic profile (ie, onset of action, half-life, and steady state) of pharmacotherapeutics used to treat psychiatric disorders
- Assess the clinical use profiles of pharmacotherapeutics used to treat psychiatric disorders
- Identify how to position current treatment options for patients based on drug characteristics, patient needs, and consideration of fiscal obtainability
