Live Tumor Board: Decoding Neuroendocrine Neoplasms – Practical Advances in Diagnostics, Emerging Treatments, and Real-World Management

Overview:

Neuroendocrine neoplasms are a rare, biologically diverse group of tumors ranging from indolent, well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) to aggressive neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs). Nonspecific symptoms can lead to diagnostic delays and misclassification, while rapidly evolving treatment options including peptide receptor radionuclide therapy and emerging DLL3-directed strategies, require careful patient selection and proactive toxicity management.

This live tumor board brings expert faculty together to address real-world cases spanning diagnosis, subtype differentiation, treatment selection and sequencing, and adverse event management. Presented as a certified medical education satellite symposium at the 2026 JADPRO Live meeting, the program is designed for advanced practice providers involved in the multidisciplinary care of patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms. Interactive polling and panel discussion allow attendees to compare their clinical decisions with those of the faculty.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Describe the clinical signs and diagnostic distinctions between NETs and NECs to support accurate patient counseling and care coordination
• Assess key efficacy and safety data on current and emerging therapies for NENs
• Determine appropriate evidence-based treatment strategies for patients with NENs with a focus on optimizing patient outcomes and supporting informed clinical decision-making
• Apply strategies to recognize and manage AEs associated with evolving NEN therapies

This educational activity is directed towards oncology advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs) involved in the management of NENs, with a focus on GEP-NETs and EP-NECs.
