Activity Overview

Over the past decade, oncology has begun to leverage a rapidly maturing effort to target the KRAS protein in KRAS-altered cancers. This has led to the introduction of targeted therapies with the potential to offer unprecedented benefit to patients. Still, these agents differ greatly in their mechanisms of action, relevant alterations, and adverse event profiles.

In this module, expert faculty discuss the state of the art for KRAS-altered non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with an emphasis on the use and ongoing development of G12C-targeted inhibitors. They will also describe recent efforts to develop novel KRAS inhibitors in KRAS-mutated disease.

Target Audience

This activity is directed toward medical oncologists, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Evaluate efficacy and safety of current and emerging KRAS/RAS-targeted therapies in solid tumors
  • Incorporate clinical trial data on KRAS/RAS-targeted therapies into treatment selection considerations for individual patients with solid tumors
