Expiration Date: March 29, 2025
Activity Overview
Over recent years, much has been discovered about the pathophysiology of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), including the influence of the cutaneous microbiome and the role of immune dysregulation. As a result of this better understanding, novel targets were identified leading to the development and availability of newer therapies.
In this program, clinician-researchers explore these topics by offering their expert interpretation of clinical data and their relevance and clinical application. Additionally, they provide insight about strategies to optimize early HS diagnosis and best practices for developing therapeutic plans in an evolving treatment landscape.
This educational activity is an archive of the live symposium held on March 9, 2024.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward dermatologists, specialty nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with HS.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Explain the evidence supporting the current understanding of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) as an immune-mediated inflammatory disease
- Assess disease severity using recommended instruments and evaluations in clinical practice
- Optimize disease management using a multimodal treatment approach
- Integrate disease severity assessments into management plans for patients with HS
