Overview:
Over recent years much has been discovered about the pathophysiology of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), including the influence of the cutaneous microbiome and the role of immune dysregulation. As a result of this better understanding, novel targets were identified leading to the development and availability of newer therapies.
In this program, clinician-researchers will explore these topics by offering their expert interpretation of clinical data and their relevance and clinical application. Additionally, they will provide insight about strategies to optimize early HS diagnosis and best practices for developing therapeutic plans in an evolving treatment landscape.

- Explain the evidence supporting the current understanding of hidradenitis suppurativa as an immune-mediated inflammatory disease
- Assess disease severity using recommended instruments and evaluations in clinical practice
- Optimize disease management using a multimodal treatment approach
- Integrate disease severity assessments into management plans for patients with HS
