Overview:
The treatment landscape for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) has seen dramatic shifts over the last decade. Breakthroughs in molecular profiling have improved risk stratification and monitoring capabilities. Novel triplet and quadruplet regimens incorporating monoclonal antibodies have led to significant improvement in outcomes, and ongoing clinical studies of CAR T-cell therapies and bispecific antibodies are challenging the role for stem cell transplantation. Amid these rapid changes, it is critical to keep the needs of patients in the foreground and consider their perspectives in the shared decision-making process.
