Activity Overview

This Community Practice Connections™ program provides an in-depth review of some of the key highlights from the 20th Annual Winter Lung Conference, held in February 2023. This unique and engaging multimedia activity is ideal for the community-based clinician and focuses on the practical aspects of managing patients with lung cancer, putting recent clinical trial data into clinical context. The program is designed for those who did not attend the live meeting and to help reinforce learnings for those who did.

This program, led by world-class thoracic oncologists, offers you the chance to learn from and interact with international experts in several therapeutic areas, including immunotherapy, targeted agents, and multidisciplinary approaches.

Target Audience

This educational activity is directed toward oncologists involved in the treatment of patients with lung cancers. Nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, researchers, fellows, and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of lung cancers may also participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Describe molecular testing strategies to refine treatment selection in patients with oncogene-driven non–small cell lung cancer
  • Outline current and emerging approaches for patient selection and decisions concerning the use of immunotherapy and targeted agents
  • Discuss clinical trial data on therapeutic approaches for early-stage and locally advanced lung cancer
  • Integrate immunotherapeutic strategies to patients with thoracic malignancies along the continuum of disease
  • Assess the use of cytotoxic, targeted, and other systemic agents in the management of patients with lung cancer with or without oncogenic drivers
  • Review approaches to mitigate and manage treatment-related adverse events in patients with lung cancer
