Activity Overview

Community oncologists focused on treating patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and biliary tract cancers (BTC) need to navigate the multitude of advancements in surveillance, novel targeted therapies and immunotherapies, and treatment sequencing. Moreover, collaboration among surgical, radiation, and medical oncologists, as well as pathologists and nurses, is required for the multidisciplinary management of these patients to improve overall outcomes.

This online CME-certified educational activity provides an in-depth review of some of the key highlights from the 14th Asia-Pacific Primary Liver Cancer Expert Meeting (APPLE 2024) held July 18-20, 2024. This unique and engaging multimedia activity is ideal for the community-based clinician and focuses on the practical aspects of managing patients with HCC and BTC, putting recent clinical trial data into clinical context. Renowned experts provide insights into recent clinical data with a focus on advances in surveillance screenings, early-stage and advanced HCC, and BTC. The program is designed for those who did not view the live webcast and to help reinforce learnings for those who did.

Target Audience

This educational activity is directed toward physicians involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of liver cancer. Other health care professionals interested in the treatment of these malignancies are also invited to participate.
