Activity Overview
This Clinical Crossroads is a video-based program in which 2 experts discuss the diagnosis and management of stage 1 neurotrophic keratitis (NK), using clinical videos to illustrate both pitfalls and pointers in diagnosing NK. This engaging format is designed to help clinicians identify best practices in the diagnosis and management of NK and to improve outcomes for their patients with this disease.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward ophthalmologists and optometrists who care for patients with corneal diseases.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Identify the etiologic factors associated with NK
- Discuss the recommended assessment-related modalities for early diagnosis of NK
- Apply optimal testing strategies to clinical practice to confirm the diagnosis of NK
- Evaluate clinical evidence for both traditional and novel therapies for the treatment of stage 1 NK
