Now in its 44th year, the Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium (CFS®) brings together thousands of health care professionals for an exciting 3-day conference that promotes the delivery of evidence-based, state-of-the-art cancer care. Exciting new developments and rapid changes continue to occur in the management of solid and hematologic malignancies. In the past year, practice-changing diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive care strategies have entered clinical practice, and many more are poised to do so. Optimized testing and treatments for early and advanced disease, including chemotherapeutics, targeted therapies, immunotherapies—alone and in combination—and multimodal strategies continue to improve clinical outcomes. CFS® offers you the critical knowledge you need to safely and effectively integrate these strategies into your practice.

Learning Objectives

1. Describe the supporting evidence for novel biomarker-testing approaches that guide the use of targeted therapies and/or modification of treatment plans
2. Evaluate efficacy and safety data from recent pivotal trials investigating new and emerging therapies

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 18.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

The program co-chairs of the 44^th Annual CFS^®: Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow^TM (CFS) are pleased to introduce the first Rising Stars, Fellow to Expert at the 2026 meeting to foster the career development of new physicians. Fellows are invited to submit abstracts to this year's conference, to be held November 11, 2026, at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York, NY.

All accepted submissions will have the opportunity to participate in a poster reception. From the accepted submissions, 4 will be selected for live presentations before a panel of key opinion leaders and earn a $750 honorarium.

All abstract submissions must be made electronically through the Survey Monkey link provided.

Abstract Requirements

Your text abstract should be a short description of your work in lymphoid or myeloid malignancies and contain all the elements necessary to define your goals and results to the reader. The formal poster session is not designated for credit.

Abstract Format

• Body Limit: 420 words (1 original table/figure is allowed)
• The title of the abstract should be brief and objectively describe the study. Do not use nonstandard abbreviations and commercial names (use generic names only). Use title case and capitalize all nouns, verbs, adverbs, and conjunctions of 4 letters or more. Do not capitalize a coordinating conjunction, an article, or a preposition of 3 or fewer letters, except when it is the first or last word in a title. Keep letters lowercase if the lowercase letters have a specific meaning, such as pH or mL. Do not put a period at the end of the title.
• Authors can be listed with institutional affiliations, cities, and countries only. Mailing addresses and academic degrees should not be mentioned in the author's list. For cooperative study groups, you may give the name of the group instead of individual institutional affiliations or include the name of the group in the title of the abstract.
• First Author:
  • The First Author must be a fellow, or within 2 years of initial faculty appointment.
  • The name, institution, and email address of the First Author are required.
  • The First Author will receive all future correspondence from Physicians' Education Resource^®, LLC (PER^®).
  • The First Author MUST staff their poster during the morning and afternoon breaks scheduled for 10:10-10:40 AM and 3:15-3:45 PM on Wednesday, November 11.
  • Authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation will receive complimentary registration to CFS.
• Only 1 original data table or figure is permitted in the body of the abstract.
• Standard abbreviations in the body of the abstract may be used and must be spelled out and defined at the first use (put in parentheses immediately after the first mention of a term or phrase). Compounds should be mentioned with the generic name, in lowercase. Commercial names may be included in the abstract text in parentheses, directly following the generic name at first use. For example, "generic (Commercial).” Do not use trademark symbols.
• Abstracts cannot be revised once submitted.
• The abstract must be submitted in English.
• The abstract must be on the subject of a hematologic malignancy.

Submission Process

• Abstracts cannot be revised once submitted.
• The review committee will evaluate the scientific quality of the submitted abstracts on the basis of the following criteria: novelty of the research, significance of the findings, and clarity. Incomplete abstracts will not be reviewed.
  • We are accepting Trial in Progress submissions and encore submissions.
• Notification of acceptance or regret will be delivered via email to the first author of each poster abstract by October 19, 2026. Please note that the first author must be present during the poster reception.
• The review committee will select 2 abstracts from each category to create a slide deck and give a 7-minute oral presentation to a panel of key opinion leaders during the Rising Stars session from 12:40 PM - 1:55 PM. The panel will provide feedback.
  • NOTE: All accepted poster presenters are invited to attend this invitation-only oral presentation session.

• Prepare a visual abstract poster A0 size: 841 × 1189 mm and submit a PDF of this poster by October 30, 2026. PER^® will print these posters. Presenters must arrive by 9 AM to set up their posters.

Abstract Publication

The presentation at CFS should reflect the submitted abstract, abstract title, authorship, and content.

• With the permission of the first author, accepted, original abstracts at the CFS will be published after the conference as PubMed-indexed articles in the ONCOLOGY^® journal. Previously presented (ie, encore) abstracts will not be published in Oncology; they will only be displayed in connection with the meeting (eg, online program).
• The CFS organizers reserve the right not to publish abstracts that do not fit into any of the review categories, abstracts that inappropriately promote commercial interests, abstracts that are judged unethical, poorly written, or scientifically unsound, or abstracts considered inappropriate for publication for other reasons as determined by the Program Committee.

Author Consent and Waiver of Claims

Each abstract author agrees and certifies that he or she:

• Waives any and all claims against PER^®, sponsor of CFS, and any review arising out of or relating to the abstract submission and review process, including but not limited to peer review and the grading of abstracts.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

1. PER^® will print an A0 size (841 × 1189 mm) poster as a retractable vinyl pull-up banner that the first author may take following the poster reception.
2. Abstracts are accepted only for a poster presentation. Only 2 abstracts from each category will be chosen to give an oral presentation.
3. All accepted original abstracts at CFS will be available in the online program and will be published after the conference in a supplement to ONCOLOGY^®.
4. Previously presented (encore) abstracts will not be published in ONCOLOGY^®; they will only be displayed in connection with the meeting (eg, online program).
5. Pharmaceutical industry authors are not allowed to present abstracts. Poster presentations are restricted to fellows and junior faculty within 2 years of initial appointment.
6. There is no embargo on abstracts.
7. The space will become available to set up your poster 2 hours before the start of the morning break.
8. We are only accepting abstracts on the subject of hematologic malignancies this year.

Advisory Board or Ancillary Meeting Definition

Any meeting whose invited participants are professional attendees of the Conference, such as doctors and physicians will be considered an Advisory Board (Ad Board) or Ancillary Meeting. This includes activities such as round-table discussions, investigator meetings, social gatherings and meet the specialist‐type meetings.

A fee is applicable for hosting these meetings, with the amount being dependent on the type and size of your meeting.

Blackout Times

There are many programs being scheduled throughout our conferences. With that, the black out hours across our meeting are as follows:

• One day prior to the conferences
• The duration of the conference
• One day post conference

A cancellation fee of 25% will be assessed on refunds requested 90 days before the start date, a 50% fee on refunds requested 60 days before the start date, and a 75% fee on refunds requested 30 days before the start date. No refunds will be made after 30 days before the start date. There is no charge for substitution. Substitutions can only be applied to the same conference and only two substitutions will be honored.

In the event of a meeting cancellation, full refunds will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation date.
