Activity Overview
This online, on-demand virtual symposium brings together a multidisciplinary panel of breast cancer experts to translate evolving HER2-directed systemic therapy and radiation science into practical strategies for real-world care. Through case-based presentations and expert panel discussions with integrated data summaries, faculty deliver actionable guidance on integrating radiation with ADC-based therapy across early-stage and metastatic settings, managing overlapping pulmonary and cardiac toxicities, using recent and emerging trial data to appropriately escalate or de-escalate radiation, and coordinating multidisciplinary management of brain metastases and oligoprogressive disease. This dynamic program is designed to equip radiation oncologists and the broader care team to confidently and safely integrate local and systemic therapy across the HER2-positive continuum.
This educational activity is an archive of the live symposium held on September 27, 2026.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other health care practitioners involved in the treatment and management of breast cancer.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Evaluate the safety profile of concurrent and sequential radiation therapy with trastuzumab deruxtecan, including strategies to distinguish drug-related interstitial lung disease from radiation pneumonitis
- Develop a radiation treatment plan that accounts for the overlapping pulmonary and cardiac toxicity risks associated with ADC-based systemic therapy in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer
- Assess the implications of recent and emerging clinical trial data for the role of radiation therapy in early-stage and metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer
- Apply a multidisciplinary framework to integrate systemic and local therapy options for patients with HER2-positive breast cancer and brain metastases
