Overview:
The management of polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET) is improving with the development of novel therapies that raise new questions about optimal treatment sequencing, patient selection, and long-term disease management.
This live, virtual webcast brings together expert faculty to
address key challenges in the management of PV and ET through integrating
real-world patient cases with concise data presentations and structured panel
discussions. They will focus on critical decision points across the disease
continuum, including risk stratification, selection and sequencing of
cytoreductive therapy, incorporation of emerging agents, and best practices for
symptom monitoring and management.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Analyze recent clinical trial data and guideline updates related to treating PV and ET
- Implement evidence-based treatment strategies for both newly diagnosed and previously treated PV and ET patients
- Identify the best practices for providing supportive care and monitoring symptoms in patients with PV and ET
Target Audience:
This educational activity is directed toward hematologist-oncologists, medical oncologists, nurses, NPs/PAs, and other HCPs involved in the management of PV and ET.
