Activity Overview

Molecular biomarker testing-informed management is the standard of care for patients with advanced or metastatic non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring actionable genomic alterations. In particular, mutations in the ERBB2 gene can predict benefit of HER2-directed therapy in this subset of patients. In this program, 2 experts in the management of lung cancer discuss the current and emerging principles for testing and managing HER2-mutant NSCLC, with a particular focus on novel treatment approaches in development.

Target Audience

This educational initiative will be directed toward global medical oncologists and pulmonologists. This activity will reach the needs of the health care team by fostering collaboration between pulmonologists and medical oncologists in formulating a management plan for patients with NSCLC, SCLC, and LCNEC-L who have targetable mutations.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

1. Identify clinical trial evidence supporting the utility of targeted therapies in the treatment paradigm for patients with HER2-expressed NSCLC.
