Overview:

Demodex blepharitis can have a significant impact on affected individuals’ quality of life — and it may cause significant complications if left untreated. A diagnosis can be suspected by the presence of cylindrical “collarettes” at the base of the eyelash. In this satellite symposium, expert faculty will review the diagnosis and management of Demodex blepharitis, including a review of available therapies.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize the disease burden in patients with Demodex blepharitis
  • Assess objective and subjective clinical findings to establish a diagnosis of Demodex blepharitis
  • Implement targeted therapies in treatment plans to eradicate Demodex and improve outcomes in patients with Demodex blepharitis
