Activity Overview

This online educational activity is designed to provide an expert disease overview of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and interpretation of new and emerging options for diagnosis and treatment, with a forward-looking perspective on how new staging guidelines and novel therapeutic agents might impact clinical practice. A fundamental perspective of the differential diagnosis, staging, and patient-centered management of this disease is presented in a multimedia format, including a series of video interviews with expert thought leaders that are integrated into text-based elements.

Target Audience

This educational activity is directed toward dermatologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other health care professionals who are involved in the treatment and management of HS. Primary care providers and women’s health professionals who may be involved in first-line diagnosis of HS are also invited to participate.

  • Describe characteristic disease features and recommended assessments of a differential diagnosis of HS
  • Assess the potential role of emerging therapies for the treatment of HS based on available clinical trial data
