36th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference Overview

The optimal care of patients with breast cancer is rapidly changing and becoming increasingly complex as a result of advances in all aspects of management, including screening, molecular/genetic testing, detection, primary treatments (ie, surgery, radiation therapy, and systemic therapies), and patient support strategies. For 36 years, the multidisciplinary Miami Breast Cancer Conference® has been bringing together surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists, as well as geneticists, pathologists, radiologists, and supportive care specialists, with the aim of fostering your awareness of state-of-the-art treatments for all stages and subtypes of breast cancer, providing you with expert perspectives on areas of clinical uncertainty or controversy, and encouraging you to engage in cross-team cooperation in your clinic. This year will be no different and will also include a patient communication workshop, specialized programming on issues related to young women with breast cancer, and a frank discussion about physician burnout. Please join us at the 36th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference®.

MBC Mini-Symposium

Don’t miss the Thursday Mini-Symposium at the 36th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference®, now in a new format! For years, the MBC Mini-Symposium has been a popular educational add-on option. In 2019, this special session will truly follow the format of the Tumor Boards taking place at cancer care institutions around the world. Throughout the day, a series of 15 to 20 breast cancer patient cases will be presented, each highlighting an important clinical challenge being faced by breast cancer care providers like you. A world-class multidisciplinary clinical team, composed of members of the MBC faculty, will share their approaches and perspectives for the questions at hand in the context of current evidence and best practices, with the ultimate goal of reaching consensus toward management. This special session, to be delivered by top experts in the field of breast cancer, was developed to be of interest to practitioners from all specialties, and will provide practical information to enhance patient care in your clinic.

If your schedule allows, we at Physicians' Education Resource hope you will plan to attend and take advantage of this valuable extra session!
