Activity Overview

This online activity is designed to provide a concise and focused overview on an important clinical topic and includes information on the management of HER2-posiitve (HER2+) metastatic breast cancer, including considerations in HER2 testing, recent regulatory approvals and their impact on treatment decision-making along with supporting efficacy and safety data, and an overview of future directions and investigational therapies for this breast cancer subtype. The engaging, multimedia format of this program includes audio commentary from an expert thought leader integrated with text-based elements.

Target Audience

This educational initiative is directed toward medical oncologists who treat patients with breast cancer. Nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, investigators, fellows, and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of breast cancer will also be invited to participate.

Upon successful completion of this educational activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Interpret HER2 testing results based on current expert guidelines in order to accurately determine HER2 status in patients with breast cancer
  • Integrate recent clinical trial results with HER2-targeted agents into personalized treatment algorithms to optimize outcomes for patients with early-stage or advanced/metastatic HER2+ or HER2-low breast cancer
  • Discuss ongoing clinical trials and the potential impact of emerging data regarding investigational approaches on evolving treatment paradigms for managing HER2+ or HER2-low breast cancer
