Activity Overview

Virtual Case Studies™ is an engaging and interactive case-based program that provides concise and easy-to-digest education on strategies to support earlier diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) as well as optimizing the management of symptoms of MS based on disease phenotype and shared therapy goals. This program’s engaging multimedia format includes 2 case studies featuring video clips of fictional patients and physicians navigating clinical decision points, interactive questions followed by explanations of the optimal response, and concludes with a discussion of diagnosis and treatment-related strategies by a panel of distinguished experts.

Target Audience

This program is intended for neurologists and subspecialists in multiple sclerosis (MS). Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care professionals involved in the treatment and management of patients with MS will be invited to participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Discuss objective criteria used in the evaluation and diagnosis of MS
  • Apply a systematic approach to the differential diagnosis of symptoms consistent with MS
  • Analyze the efficacy and safety profile of disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) used in the management of MS
  • Develop management plans for patients with MS, based on patient preferences and the goals of therapy
