Severe Asthma Through the Ages: Personalized Management for Difficult-to-Treat Children, Adolescents, and Adults

Release Date: May 22, 2020
Expiration Date: May 22, 2021

Activity Overview

This virtual symposium brings together leading clinical experts who will focus on treatment and management considerations for difficult-to-treat and severe asthma in all age groups, with an emphasis on Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) guidelines and identification of type 2 inflammation. With the availability of biologics that target the key drivers of type 2 inflammation, faculty will discuss the use of biomarkers to tailor add-on treatment for optimal outcomes. Frequently associated with asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with or without nasal polyps causes a significant deleterious effect on quality of life. Data demonstrating the efficacy of biologics used in type 2 asthma for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps will be reviewed. Expert faculty will present pediatric and adult cases as an example of guideline applications and practical treatment approaches. A question and answer session will conclude this activity with current and relevant concerns of your peers.
