Activity Overview

This online activity is designed to update clinicians on data presented at the 2020 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, held May 29 to May 31, 2020, and will help facilitate critical assessment and clinical integration of new evidence. The activity reviews 4 abstracts from the 2020 ASCO Virtual Scientific Program that focus on prostate, renal, and urothelial carcinoma. For each abstract, a text summary of key clinical data is accompanied by perspectives from expert thought leaders who provide insights into how clinicians can apply these findings to their clinical practice to improve patient care.

Target Audience

This educational activity is directed toward medical oncologists and fellows who treat patients with genitourinary cancers. Surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, researchers, and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of genitourinary cancers will be invited to participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Explain the mechanism of action of current and emerging therapies for genitourinary (GU) cancers
  • Discuss the application of recent key findings from clinical trials conducted among patients with GU cancers
  • Describe current clinical practice guideline recommendations and supporting evidence for the treatment of patients with GU cancers
  • Implement strategies for monitoring, identifying, and mitigating the risk of treatment-related toxicities associated with therapies used in the treatment of GU cancers
