Activity Overview
This Clinical Consultations™ is a video-based program in which two experts use a case-based approach to discuss the treatment and management of glaucoma. In this activity, faculty focus on current topical agents and new and emerging sustained-release therapies for the management of glaucoma. This engaging format is designed to help clinicians identify best practices to slow disease progression while minimizing adverse effects of long-term treatment to improve outcomes for their patients with this silent, sight-threatening disease.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for ophthalmologists and other health care professionals who may encounter patients with glaucoma in clinical practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Describe current intraocular agents according to efficacy, safety, and preservative content
- Identify common safety concerns of long-term use of benzalkonium chloride-containing medications on the conjunctiva, cornea, lens, and trabecular meshwork
- Assess the efficacy and safety of alternative preservatives, preservative-free solutions and available sustained-release formulations for the treatment of intraocular pressure
