Activity Overview

This highly practical, fast-paced, and engaging meeting blends expert presentations on cutting-edge information with panel discussions to enhance learning about state-of-the-art patient treatment. The curriculum will address clinically relevant topics to primary care providers. This conference will offer the opportunity to advance their understanding, knowledge, and competence in the prevention, treatment, and ongoing management of illnesses, chronic diseases, and associated comorbidities. Enduring education will extend the reach to those who were unable to attend in person.

Target Audience

This curriculum is directed toward Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) practicing in the primary care setting. Physicians and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) interested in the treatment of patients in the primary care setting may also participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should have improved their ability to:
  • DESCRIBE the collaborative role of all providers on the healthcare team
  • DISCUSS evidence-based guidelines and recent clinical study results that effect clinical decision-making
  • IMPLEMENT the latest diagnostic and treatment strategies for common conditions encountered in the primary care setting
  • DEVELOP methods to enhance the relationship between provider and patient to improve health outcomes
