Renowned breast cancer specialist received the award at the 38th Annual Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium: Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow virtual conference

CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), presented Hope S. Rugo, M.D., FASCO, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), with the 2020 Educator of the Year award during the 38th Annual< Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium: Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow conference, held virtually on Thursday, Nov. 5.

Rugo is a professor of medicine in the division of hematology and oncology at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she is also the director of breast oncology and clinical trials education. As an active researcher, she has published many peer-reviewed papers and given presentations on a variety of breast cancer and supportive care-related topics. Rugo is also an investigator and chair of the Safety Committee for the national multicenter I-SPY2 trial and is the principal investigator of several clinical trials.
