Activity Overview
Low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC) is a relatively chemoresistant disease often affecting premenopausal women. Managing this unique form of persistent, recurring ovarian cancer requires careful planning and coordinated multi-disciplinary care. In this adaptive learning module, our expert will guide you through the diagnosis and multiple lines of therapy for a patient with LGSOC. You will have the opportunity to interview a patient with LGSOC, order testing, and design your very own treatment plan. Our expert will review the data behind your chosen therapies and help you manage adverse events associated with these treatments. This activity will prepare you to manage LGSOC with confidence through practice and expert guidance.

Learning Objectives

- Explain the significance of differentiating between LGSOC and other types of ovarian carcinomas, including BSOC and HGSOC
- Examine the current standard of care for LGSOC, focusing on the roles of surgery and adjuvant systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and hormonal therapies
- Integrate newly approved therapeutic agents into personalized treatment plans based on patient- and disease-specific factors
- Recognize and manage the AE profiles linked to both emerging and existing targeted therapies for treating LGSOC
