Activity Overview
This session of the ISGIO 2025 meeting focused on the shifts in practice for patients with nonmetastatic colorectal cancer, including presentations focused on sparing the use of radiation therapy in patients with early-stage rectal cancer. Another program focused on nonmedical practices that can improve patient outcomes while undergoing treatment with curative intent. The session closed with a debate on the optimal use of immunotherapy for patients with operable colon cancer harboring high microsatellite instability.

Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward medical oncologists and practitioners of oncology subspecialties, along with surgeons, radiologists, general scientists, young investigators, nurses, and pharmacists with an interest in GI oncology. Other health care professionals interested in the treatment of these malignancies are also invited to participate.
