Optimizing Outcomes in VTE Management: Collaborating Across the Continuum

Optimizing Outcomes in VTE Management: Collaborating Across the Continuum

Tuesday, November 17, 2020

1:30 PM – 3:00 PM CT

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a serious and underdiagnosed medical condition that manifests as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and/or pulmonary embolism (PE) and can cause serious illness, disability, and death. It is important for primary care providers to recognize VTE in its early stages to effectively use evidence-based therapies to prevent serious complications, and to establish prophylactic care plans to prevent recurrent episodes.

This program will bring together experts versed in the management of VTE to discuss current recommendations for treating people experiencing thrombosis in various care settings, coordinating among interdisciplinary health care teams, continuation of care post-VTE, and the impact of COVID-19 on VTE management.

Benefits of Attending

  • Apply the latest recommendations for VTE management
  • Improve your understanding of current and emerging therapies
  • Learn from experts in the field of DVT/PE
