Overview

New Therapies for Better Patient Outcomes in GvHD: Integration of Recent Data Sets into Clinical Practice is a satellite symposium held in conjunction with the 2020 Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Meetings of ASTCT and CIBMTR (TCT Meetings), in February 2020, in Orlando, Florida. This program is designed to update health care providers on data surrounding the most recent developments and emerging novel therapies for graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). The symposium will feature preeminent experts in the field of GvHD, who will discuss the current treatment landscape, strategies in GvHD prophylaxis, and emerging therapies for patients with acute or chronic GvHD.

Target Audience

This educational program is intended for hematologists, medical oncologists, researchers, and investigators who treat or are interested in the treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies. Other allied health care professionals, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses involved in the treatment and management of patients with hematologic malignancies will also be invited to participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

  • Discuss advancements in the understanding of the pathobiology of GvHD to better inform clinical decision making.
  • Compare and contrast the efficacy and safety of available and emerging therapies for the treatment of patients with acute and chronic GvHD.
  • Implement current and emerging prophylactic strategies for the prevention of GvHD.
