3rd Annual School of Nursing Oncology™

3rd Annual School of Nursing Oncology™

August 2-3, 2019
Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina
1380 Harbor Island Dr, San Diego, CA 92101

Overview™:

Oncology nursing is a perpetually evolving field, with numerous advancements in the pharmacologic treatment of cancer as well as complementary therapies to help mitigate disease symptoms and potential treatment-related adverse events emerging at a rapid pace. These advancements are raising the bar for the outcomes of your patients, and in order to help you deliver optimal care, the 3rd Annual School of Nursing Oncology™ will provide the latest information on key topics in oncology that can readily be applied to your practice, whether you work in an academic center, community office, or any of a host of locations. Our faculty will discuss strategies to help you optimize patient management and provide insight into the evolving treatment landscape for a variety of different malignancies that you may encounter. As barriers to the optimal delivery of care for patients with cancer are quite common, this program is designed to answer questions in a manner that will help you to overcome those barriers. This will be a dynamic experience, giving you the opportunity to engage with faculty as they share their perspectives and personal experiences on clinical challenges commonly encountered in nursing practice. A variety of formats will be used to generate an exciting learning environment, including a mixture of didactic presentations, interactive discussion, and case-based learning opportunities. You will be able to review patient scenarios, reflect on how you may handle particular cases, integrate relevant evidence into the management of your patients, and compare your practices with those of your peers.
