School of Breast Oncology® Live Video Webcast: Clinical Updates from Chicago Overview

The management of breast cancer is evolving rapidly, with new treatment options and new indications for approved agents emerging at a record pace. Over the past few years, several new classes of agents have been added to the treatment armamentarium for breast cancer. Many of these agents require molecular-based selection, highlighting the heterogeneity of breast cancers and the increasing need to personalize treatment strategies based on underlying tumor biology, the use of biomarkers and molecular assays, and careful assessment of the benefit-risk ratio for particular therapies and patient comorbidities. In order to provide the best care for their patients, it is critical for clinicians to remain up to date on results from practice-changing clinical trials as well as evidence from smaller trials that provides guidance on the optimal use of existing treatments, which are often first presented at annual society meetings.

This program is an extension of the annual School of Breast Oncology®, and it provides an additional forum for clinicians to keep pace with rapidly emerging data and advancing treatment paradigms in breast cancer. The format of this live online broadcast is a panel discussion where experts present highlights of key data from recent international oncology meetings, followed by discussion and debate about key concepts and their clinical applications in breast cancer. In addition, you will have the opportunity to engage with the faculty through submission of questions and/or cases to be discussed by the panel during the live session.
