SGO: Ovarian Cancer Tumor Board: Leveraging Evolving Data Sets on PARP Inhibitors in Ovarian Cancer to Inform Treatment Decision Making

SGO: Ovarian Cancer Tumor Board: Leveraging Evolving Data Sets on PARP Inhibitors in Ovarian Cancer to Inform Treatment Decision Making

May 19, 2020

Live Webcast: 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm EDT

Recent developments in ovarian cancer management, in particular PARP inhibitor approvals, have been practice changing, heralding a move toward personalized treatment and optimized outcomes for patients. The field is evolving further with several PARP inhibitors in late-stage development as monotherapy and under investigation in combination with current treatment options including chemotherapy, radiation, and TKIs. The goal is to optimize the use of PARP inhibitor strategies to manage disease in women with ovarian cancer.

This activity will bring together renowned international experts in ovarian cancer treatment and clinical research for an in-depth, mock tumor board that will assess the clinical impact of recent and emerging trial data for PARP inhibitors in ovarian cancer treatment. A series of cases will be presented with clinical trial data tightly integrated to illuminate front-line, later line, maintenance, sequencing, and switching throughout the ovarian cancer treatment paradigm. Adverse events and management will be educationally tied to case presentations. Future directions in the field will also be considered in a discussion of how recent developments and highly anticipated trials may shape care.

Benefits of Participation

  • Hear from experts about recent clinical trials in ovarian cancer and their impact on clinical practice decision making
  • Analyze patient treatment options with experts in ovarian cancer in a case-based discussion
  • Identify opportunities to implement emerging treatments for the management of ovarian cancer
  • Optimize treatment strategies for your patients with ovarian cancer

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Analyze evidence related to molecular testing and its application in selection of therapy for patients with ovarian cancer
  • Understand and apply key findings from clinical trials to specific clinical cases reflective of ovarian cancer cases encountered in clinical practice
  • Evaluate emerging therapeutic approaches, including combination approaches, and appropriateness for specific populations of patients with ovarian cancer
