Oncology Best Practice™: New Paradigms in Testing Technologies: Addressing Key Questions to Improve Cancer Care

Oncology Best Practice™:
Expert Perspectives to Incorporate Evidence on PARP Inhibitors into Practice and Optimize the Medical Management of Ovarian Cancer

In order to request this CME/CE activity for your center, please contact Samantha Zelasko at SZelasko@gotoper.com or call (609) 325-4668

Overview:

Oncology Best Practice™ is a nationwide series of institution-based regional activities held in locations across the US deemed to have the highest educational need. Placement of the activity will focus on centers of excellence with cancer centers. This activity will serve to update practitioners on advances in the medical management of cancer based on evidence-based strategies that assure optimized outcomes and clinical decision-making in multiple lines of care. The activity will utilize a variety of formats, including presentation of new data, clinical scenarios exploring the evidence behind treatment decisions, adverse event management and faculty Q&A to encourage peer-to-peer and peer-to-expert interactions, as well as the sharing of best practices.

Why Should I Attend?

  • Better understand the clinical implications of tumor testing to determine which of your patients should be tested and when
  • Investigate the role of NGS, tumor and liquid biopsies, comprehensive genomic profiling, and hotspot analysis in the delivery of personalized cancer care
  • Gain a multidisciplinary perspective of the challenges and logistics of tumor testing within your institution
  • Acquire expert perspective on the evidence underpinning the use of precision medicine in cancer management
  • Determine the clinical application of biomarkers and tumor testing results to select optimal chemotherapeutic, targeted, and immunotherapeutic treatment options for your patients

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better prepared to:

  • Outline the clinical implications of tumor testing strategies for patients with cancer, including NGS, tumor and liquid biopsies, comprehensive genomic profiling, and hotspot analysis
  • Develop evidence-based strategies to individualize treatment of patients with cancer based on assessment of tumor profile and patient characteristics
  • Identify the role of multidisciplinary teams to facilitate, interpret, and implement novel tumor testing technologies in clinical practice
  • Assess methods to overcome barriers to facilitate the use of precision medicine strategies in community settings
