Medical Crossfire®: Global Perspectives on Recent Data in Hormone Receptor–Positive Breast Cancer: Individualizing and Optimizing Use of CDK4/6 Inhibitors

Monday, December 14, 2020

Live, Interactive Virtual Webcast!

12:00 PM – 1:30 PM EST

Overview

The Medical Crossfire®, one of PER®'s signature educational formats, is a video-based program in which a panel of distinguished experts engage in discussions on a particular clinical topic. In this activity, 4 key thought leaders explore the role of CDK4/6 inhibitors in the management of patients with hormone receptor–positive (HR+) breast cancer. The discussion will cover evolving evidence in the metastatic setting and strategies for individualizing and optimizing treatment, as well as emerging data in the setting of early-stage breast cancer and how recent results will impact the management of patients with high-risk disease. This lively discussion will help place new developments into clinical context to help optimize care for patients with HR+ breast cancer.

Benefits of Attending

  • Review clinical trial results presented at recent international oncology meetings
  • Hear experts discuss emerging data with CDK4/6 inhibitors in the context of treatment decision making for patients with HR+ breast cancer
  • Individualize treatment planning with CDK4/6 inhibitor combinations for patients with HR+ breast cancer
  • Discuss challenging clinical scenarios in the management of HR+ breast cancer
  • Learn strategies for maintaining optimal patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Review recent results from pivotal clinical trials evaluating CDK4/6 inhibitors for the treatment of patients with HR+ breast cancer and the impact of these data on treatment decision making
  • Utilize tumor and patient characteristics when incorporating CDK4/6 inhibitors in order to individualize treatment strategies and optimize outcomes for patients with HR+ metastatic breast cancer (MBC)
  • Integrate predictive and prognostic assays to assess recurrence risk in patients with early-stage HR+ breast cancer and to identify patients for clinical trials evaluating novel strategies combining endocrine therapies with targeted agents
  • Assess strategies to optimize treatment protocols for patients with HR+ MBC in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, and ensure adherence to therapy in patients receiving oral anticancer medications
