Postoperative Pain Management Through Opioid-Sparing Strategies for Patients With Breast Cancer

Thursday, March 4, 2021
Live, Interactive Webcast
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST
Overview
Managing perioperative pain is an integral part of the supportive care for patients with breast cancer and harbors unique challenges in the era of prescription drug abuse and the opioid epidemic. This interactive symposium will explore options for the proactive management of pain for patients as well as associated adverse events with both opioid analgesics and nonopioid strategies via an interactive panel discussion of real-world practices. This panel will include members of the care team, including a surgical oncologist and anesthesiologist.
In addition to expert presentations, the program will include interactive real-world cases, designed to allow participants the opportunity to ask questions and to further promote engagement around challenging situations that exist within the community practice setting.
Benefits of Attending
- Ask the experts how they might handle challenging clinical cases
- Improve your knowledge about emerging strategies for managing pain in your patients with breast cancer
