Show Me the Data: Decision-Making in mRCC When There Are Many Options

Thursday, February 11, 2021
Live, Interactive Webcast
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM EST
Overview
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) will be diagnosed in 73,750 patients this year, and approximately 14,830 patients will die from these tumors. Prior to the advent of targeted therapies, the treatment for patients with metastatic RCC (mRCC) remained largely unchanged for decades and relied on cytokine therapy to prevent disease progression. However, these therapies were associated with treatment-limiting toxicities, low response rates, and short survival benefits. Management strategies for RCC have evolved with the emergence of new data for novel combinations and emerging novel therapeutic approaches.
Show Me the Data: Decision-Making in mRCC When There Are Many Options is a CME-certified live webcast to be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021. This educational activity will provide oncologists with expert perspectives on the pathobiology of RCC subtypes, the efficacy of novel and emerging treatment options for patients with newly diagnosed and/or metastatic RCC, as well as the identification and management of treatment-related adverse events. This activity will bring together renowned experts for an interactive symposium to discuss the impact of evolving evidence on the use of immunotherapy and targeted agents, including combination strategies, in the management of RCCs. The activity will focus on brief didactic presentations followed by “real-world” clinical case scenarios.
Benefits of Attending
- Expand your understanding of the pathobiology of various RCC subtypes and how the differences can influence treatment selection
- Gain awareness of the clinical trials evaluating current and emerging immunotherapy and targeted agents for the treatment of mRCC that may affect your practice in the future
- Learn how the experts and your peers are managing challenging cases of mRCC in the frontline and relapsed settings
- Ask the experts about best practices for mitigating adverse events related to novel and emerging therapies for the treatment of mRCC

Target Audience
This educational program is directed toward medical oncologists interested in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma. Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other health care professionals involved in the treatment and management of patients with renal cell carcinoma are also invited to participate.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should have improved their ability to:
- Identify key aspects of RCC pathobiology and how increased understanding of biology applies to therapeutic development
- Evaluate recently reported clinical trial data likely to impact treatment options across lines of care for RCC
- Integrate evidence-based treatment options into clinical scenarios in RCC
- Assess strategies to monitor, mitigate, and prevent treatment-related adverse events associated with single-agent and combination strategies in RCC
