“D” is for Diagnosis—Cracking the Case in Rare Hematologic Disorders: Practical Approaches to Accurate Identification and Management

Tuesday, February 16, 2021

Live, Interactive Virtual Webcast!

Scientific Session: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM EST

Overview

When clinicians encounter patients with unusual hematological disorders, the necessary diagnostic work-up is complex and multifaceted. Hematologists require an updated understanding of the presentation of unusual blood disorders and the tests required to diagnose them, including diseases that they rarely encounter.

During this highly interactive, game-style symposium, the audience will be encouraged to examine “mystery” cases, look for clues in the clinical history and presentation, evaluate diagnostic test results, and ultimately uncover the correct diagnosis. Expert faculty then will reveal the underlying disease and review therapeutic options.

Benefits of Attending

  • Learn which diagnostic tests and assessments can help lead to earlier identification of patients with rare hematologic diseases
  • Learn guideline-based considerations for managing rare hematologic diseases
  • Recognize rare diseases that can lead to earlier therapy and better patient outcomes
