Overview

Please join us in New York on November 9 for this engaging symposium with Thomas Herzog, MD, Michael Birrer, MD, PhD, and Kathleen Moore, MD. This symposium will include presentations on the Rationale for PARP Inhibition in Ovarian Cancer, Implementing BRCA Testing in Practice, Currently Available and Emerging PARP Inhibitors, as well as Case Studies and a Panel Discussion.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, and other clinicians who treat patients with ovarian cancer.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Evaluate the rationale for and barriers to genetic testing in patients with ovarian carcinoma
  • Relate the role of DNA repair enzymes to the mechanism of action of PARP inhibitors
  • Assess the role of predictive biomarkers in clinical practice
  • Evaluate the safety and efficacy of currently available and emerging PARP inhibitors
  • Anticipate side effects associated with PARP inhibitors and plan strategies to manage them
